Job Description for Elementary Special Education Teacher
QUALIFICATION: As set by State Certification Authorities
REPORTS TO: Principal and Special Education Director
JOB GOAL: To provide all students a quality education and environment conducive to learning, regardless of their handicapping condition.
Structure a physical classroom environment conducive to learning.
Establishes efficient classroom management procedures.
You may be asked to perform health related services for students after you have been trained.
Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior necessary for a positive teaching/learning atmosphere.
Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation.
Selects and provides a variety of planned learning experiences using a variety of media and methods in order to motivate students and best utilize available time for instruction.
Evaluates and records various aspects of students' progress and reports to parents as needed and required.
Maintains accurate, complete, and correct due process records as required by law.
Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students resolve learning problems.
Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
Attends and participates in faculty and other staff meetings.
Accepts a chare of responsibility for co-curricular activities assigned.
Maintains professional competence through workshops, seminars, conferences, in-service and/or advanced course work.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or the Special Education Director.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Carroll County
Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with Carroll County Board of Education policy.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
