Maintenance and Capital Manager

Position Summary
Ensure that maintenance projects and procedures are implemented within budget and on schedule. Achieve maximum output capacity, enhance plant efficiency, and maintain minimum operational cost. Manage the activities of the Maintenance group to ensure safe, cost effective asset utilization supported by added value investment, while complying with all Cabot policy and statutory regulations related to the safety and environment.
Job Responsibilities

Promotes and prioritizes safety, health, and environmental excellence. Demonstrates and advocates for personal and team accountability. Actively participates in safe work permitting, hazard reviews, process safety management, and assessments.
Develop and maintain a program for site improvements, introduction of new technology, and manage the execution of a capital expenditure and maintenance plan to ensure work is completed to a high standard in accordance with customer and project objectives.
Develop and manage a work order system and preventative and predictive maintenance plan. Monitor and analyze the performance of the equipment and improve the efficiency.
Ensure the quality of the spare parts and/or services purchased. Manage suppliers'/contractors' performance and periodically carry out vendor assessment. Ensure that contractors comply with Cabot safety and all other site procedures.
Actively participate in maintenance and capital budget preparation and cost expenditure forecasts. Review maintenance expenditure and forecasts on a regular basis to assure appropriate spending levels.
Ensure maximum plant availability through the implementation and use of established reliability principles and optimal asset management. Ensure that optimal manning levels are maintained.
Effectively practice Performance Based Management by coaching and developing employees, and assuring effective alignment with the matrix functions.
Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System? in line with the requirements of the RC14001? and ISO9001 technical specifications, as applicable to the site/region.
Completes all required reports, records, and measurements, i.e. SH&E incident reporting, MI testing results, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
BS in Engineering in related discipline with 5+ years of related experience
Experience in project execution and project management fundamentals
Promoter of safety and safety awareness
Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams. Self-starter; excellent management and organizational skills
Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance
Proven ability to manage & develop budgets
Knowledge in areas such as confined space entry, lockout / tagout, hotwork permitting, etc.
Knowledge of Failure Mode Experimental Causal Analysis (FMECA)
Knowledge of Engineering standards and specifications
Knowledge of Environmental Awareness
Willing and able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills. Able to work independently as well. Self-motivated with a track record of dependability.
A proven positive safety, health, and environmental record in an industrial workplace. Familiar with topics such as Process Safety Management, safe work permitting, lockout/tagout, emergency response, and hazard awareness.
Knowledge of chemical manufacturing process equipment, troubleshooting, process control, and process improvements. Strong wide-ranging technical skills in mechanical, instrumentation, utility, and electrical systems.
Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis methodologies and reliability analysis tools, capital project management, contractor management, and analytical and diagnostic skills.
Ability to remain calm and react effectively in critical situations. Experience with accident and near miss reporting, incident investigation, and accountability to standards
Effective time management, organizational, and record keeping skills. Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and computerized maintenance management systems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
