Reliability Engineer

Position Summary
The Reliability Engineer will develop and implement recommendations for procedure or equipment modifications and upgrades to improve plant performance and reliability. The Reliability Engineer has overall responsibility for the site mechanical integrity program, including management of the equipment inspection and testing program, performing equipment "end of life" assessments, and making recommendations for equipment repairs and replacements while ensuring safety and environmental compliance, process efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness.
Cabot's Carrollton, KY new chemical manufacturing facility is under construction. Cabot anticipates hiring the Reliability Engineer in 2019.
Job Responsibilities

Works in a safe manner. Actively participates in Cabot's safety, health, and environmental programs. Attends scheduled team meetings and completes safety training requirements. Keeps work area safe and clean.
Leads predictive/preventive maintenance efforts on process and support equipment. Develops predictive/preventive maintenance program scope and schedules. Uses computerized maintenance management system to enter work orders, document work performed, and determine breakdown patterns.
Investigate equipment problems and design modifications to improve reliability, productivity and safety using failure analysis to determine root cause and correct actions.
Facilitates repairs of stationary and rotating equipment by working with OEM and aftermarket suppliers, Cabot maintenance personnel, outside repair shops, and contractors.
Manage and monitor maintenance project progress executed by Cabot personnel or outside service providers.
Ensures compliance with all mechanical codes, standards, regulations and industry best practices (ASME, API, ANSI, OSHA). Recommends material of construction and maintains site piping/equipment specifications.
Contributes to Cabot's Process Safety Management compliance by maintaining accurate Process Safety Information, supporting the Management of Change process, and participating in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews and Process Hazards Analyses.
Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care? Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001? and ISO9001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
Completes all required reports, records, and measurements, i.e. SH&E incident reporting, MI testing results, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of Reliability Engineering experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
Willing and able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills. Able to work independently as well. Self-motivated with a track record of dependability.
A proven positive safety, health, and environmental record in an industrial workplace. Familiar with topics such as Process Safety Management, safe work permitting, lockout/tagout, emergency response, and hazard awareness.
Knowledge of chemical manufacturing process equipment, troubleshooting, process control, and process improvements. Strong wide-ranging technical skills in mechanical, instrumentation, utility, and electrical systems.
Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis methodologies and reliability analysis tools, capital project management, contractor management, and analytical and diagnostic skills.
Ability to remain calm and react effectively in critical situations. Experience with accident and near miss reporting, incident investigation, and accountability to standards
Effective time management, organizational, and record keeping skills. Computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and computerized maintenance management systems.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
